Day 17 - Tiger Print Nail Art

Happy Friday Everyone! Wow, how quickly has this week gone?! And for most here in Australia it's a long weekend. Unfortunately for me I have to go to uni on Monday because apparently we don't get a holiday :( but I'm looking forward to the weekend nonetheless. Today I have Tiger Print nail art for you! So here's how it turned out:

Quite a simple design and turned out really cute! I'm really keen to try out some more animal prints now :)

First I started with 3 coats of OPI's Y'all Come Back Ya Hear:

Another jelly/sorbet! A bright, medium orange with, of course, high gloss finish as you can see from the pictures! Such a gorgeous colour and finish. The only problem is that, as I said yesterday, sorbets/jellies take aaaaaaages to dry because of the texture of the formula so you really need a lot of time and patience for this one. And probably best to use a rapid drying top coat as well. But I think it's worth the time and effort because it just comes out so lovely!

Anyway, I then used a fine nail art brush to paint on the 'stripes' of the tiger print, using Black Onyx. I had to do a couple of coats because the tips of the stripes are so fine so I used a very small amount of polish on the brush. I then finished with RapiDry top coat.

Here's some swatches:

Hope you have a great weekend - I'll see you tomorrow for some more nail art (that is, if time permits!)
