Another weekend over way too quickly! Sadly most of it was spent resting because I've been sick all weekend :( but as I mentioned yesterday, I trialled some cute lace nail art strips for a 21st last night:
Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips - Laced Up
I found the application a lot easier to apply this time than the last time I tried them for Halloween. Still, they are a bit fiddly and take a while so you need to set about 45 minutes to an hour aside for application. After I applied the strips and trimmed them to shape, I used a hair dryer to set them onto my nails. The heat of the hair dryer softens the enamel and slightly 'melts' the strips onto your nails to stop them from lifting up at the sides. This is a trick I learnt from a friend at work and would highly recommend because it makes the application so much quicker and the strips last longer!
Here's a picture of what you get in the kit:
1 x wooden cuticle pusher
1 x emery board
I actually only used one of the packs of 8 strips because my nails are quite short so I cut the strips in half so they could be used to do two nails. This means I can save the other pack to use another day which is good, considering they aren't cheap here in Aus. They say on the packet that the last up to 10 days but because I've got another post I need to do tomorrow I'll have to remove these by then so I won't get to review how long they last. Anyway, a cute design nonetheless!
Have a great day/night - see you tomorrow!
Oh, that looks really gorgeous! Now I'm tempted to go get this from Sally Hansen too...
