Happy Thursday everyone. I am happy to say that I am much more cheery today but still very exhausted and looking forward to the weekend! As I mentioned the other day, the week leading up to Easter I will be posting a new special Easter nail art design every day (maybe even more than one a day because I have sooooo many ideas!). This will start on Sunday so that means only 3 more posts before then, today included. I also wanted to give a quick shout out to my lovely Granny who follows my blog every day! She kindly explained to me this evening that even though there are 46 days from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, Sundays are not technically included in lent so it works out to be 40 days. No wonder I was getting confused! Anyway, I didn't realise so I've included Sundays but never mind, that just means more posts :)
This link explains it a little better than I do!
For today's post I've done swatches of the colour I used for art yesterday, Up Front & Personal. Take a look:
OPI Up Front & Personal
A lovely sheer gold micro-shimmer. It looks great here with 5 coats (yes that's right you heard correctly...five coats!) It is a great colour but if you don't have the time to wait for it to dry to get the pictured effect then I wouldn't recommend for a quick colour on the go. Like all other OPI micro-glitters I've tried so far, the formula is gorgeous but, I repeat, it is very sheer so be prepared for this. Although I do like how it looks with 2 coats, the problem with only 2 is that it is barely opaque. It'sgreat for over the top of other colours but on it's own I'd say it's best with at least 3 or 4 coats....and let's be honest, who really has time for that most days?! Overall, love the colour, love the formula. Not something I would generally pick out for every day but maybe for special occasions!
Until tomorrow :)
