I seem to have acquired a little bit of an obsession with nail art in the past week or so. It's consuming me! I don't know if I'll be able to settle with only coloured nails from now on (perhaps that's a little strong). After some research, I thought I'd have a go at some cute designs I'd seen online with some of my favourite OPI pinks!
Here's the final product....
Cute hey? The colour I used as a base was Panda-monium Pink and the other colours are as follows:
Thumb: Katy Perry Teenage Dream
Index Finger: Alpine Snow (white dots) and Dim Sum Plumb (purple/magenta dots)
Middle Finger: That's Hot! Pink (heart)
Ring Finger: Alpine Snow (white cupcake icing), Dim Sum Plum (darker stripes) and Shorts Stories (lighter stripes)
Pinky Finger: Do you lilac it? (lighter diagonal stripes) and Ate Berries in the Canaries (darker diagonal stripes)
All are OPI polishes and some of my favourite pinks!! I especially love Panda-monium Pink as a base it's such a nice pastel baby pink/lilac cream and great for underneath art because it's solid.

Panda-monium Pink by OPI
My hands are a little shiny because I had just put cuticle oil on but despite that the photos have come out pretty well. As you can see its a lovely pastel baby pink cream with a hint of lilac in it. This is two coats and it is completely opaque and dries really quickly which is perfect as a nail art base because you don't really have time to wait for 3 slow coats to dry when you have a whole lot of nail arting ahead of you!
The last photo is of my two favourite nail designs...I think they turned out the best! I used tiny little metallic balls as a finishing touch - a little tricky to apply (this required a pair of tweezers, a steady hand and lots of patience). I also topped the cupcake off with a diamanté as a finishing touch. Very proud of myself for this artwork but I'm afraid if I spend this much time on my nails every day there will be no time for anything else! Ah well ... you can expect some more to come in the near future anyway ;)
