Day 2 - Gargantuan Green Grape swatches and review

OPI Gargantuan Green Grape

A very pale pastelish grape (as the name suggests!). Pretty cool colour but not amazingly impressed with the formula. It really needs three coats because it is so sheer and it just takes forever to dry so it's not really ideal if you're in a hurry. I do love this colour for nail art though! I've used it quite a bit in the past for this (I'll put up a photo at the end). Probably not one of my favourites from OPI but I don't really own many greens so it makes a great visual contribution to my collection, evening out the playing field between my many reds, purples and pinks!

Sorry I'm so short on time today but I'll leave you with a swatch of this that I did ages ago featuring my old shorter nails and one of my favourite nail art designs, kiwi fruit, featuring this colour!

See you tomorrow!

Day 1 - Need Sunglasses?

Here we go! I thought I'd start off today with one of my sunniest and brightest, OPI Need Sunglasses? My only yellow (apart from SH Yellow Kitty which has already featured quite a bit!) I bought this one recently after realizing my collection was seriously lacking in yellow!

Check it out:

A bright, sunflower yellow with a high gloss finish. A really cute colour, especially for special occasions. I wouldn't wear this one every day but perhaps to match an outfit if I were wearing some yellow. I don't think it really suits my pale skin tone but I love this colour on darker skin tones. It's a lovely formula - applies beautifully but quite sheer. This is 3 coats here and it is still a little transparent. You can still slightly see my nails underneath. Still, a definite necessity for my collection and great for nail art :P

I saw some photos of Rihanna (in LOVE with her at the moment) with smiley face nail art so I had a go myself:

Here I just used dotting tools for the eyes and a fine nail art brush for the mouths. I did a sad face as a feature for my ring finger which - by the way - is looking a little bit sad itself at the moment. Even though I've been trying to grow my nails lately, using lots of strengthener, this one split yesterday. It makes my middle fingernail look gigantic haha!

Anyway..back to Rihanna. From lots of pictures I've seen of her she's really into wearing fun colours and nail art :) yay this makes me so happy! Maybe we can expect an OPI collection by Rihanna in the future... like Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry have done!

Until tomorrow :)
