Day 41 - Easter Bunny nail art over OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender (swatches and review)

Hope everyone has had a great start to the week! I'm pretty excited about today's nail art.... Easter bunny rabbits :) Check out the final product:

EASTER NAIL ART #2

The base colour I used is OPI's Lucky Lucky Lavender (swatches and review below). Originally I wasn't going to do a base colour, just the bunnies, but I was wearing this during the day today and I thought it would be really cute underneath and would compliment the white of the bunnies really well.

A lovely violet/lavender pink with a hint...I repeat, a hint of purple in it. The pictures here do not do it justice. I am so disappointed it doesn't come out more accurately - It's actually a lot more pink toned than the pictures show *sigh*...but it still looks lovely. For some reason pinks and purples are really tough to swatch. This is from the 2010 Hong Kong Collection - definitely one of my favourites from OPI. This is such a great colour as a base for nail art as it is so creamy and opaque yet a little more vibrant than a white or really pale pink as a base. I found the formula great but other reviews I have read say that it is really streaky and tough to work with. I am glad to say I have not found this at all with this polish. It goes on so easily and it's the perfect shade with 3 coats...love!

Easter Bunny Nail Art

How cute?! It didn't turn out exactly how I had imagined it would but still very cute. Also took me a lot longer than I had thought it would!! But hopefully it was worth it and you like it :)

The colours I used are as follows:

- Alpine Snow for white bunny heads
- Black Onyx for eyes, noses and mouths
- Pink-ing Of You for cheeks and pink on the ears

and for the carrot feature nail I used In My Back Pocket with a touch of Hot 'N' Spicy over the top, Gargantuan Green Grape for the sprout and Black Onyx for the texture of the carrot.

Cannot wait for tomorrow already for some more Easter nail art! See you then.
