After taking a bit of a break lately from having such a busy few months, I am officially back! I'm sorry it's been so long. I've been really busy with uni and grad job applications, not to mention we reached our internet cap 2 weeks ago so I've barely had internet (not going to point fingers haha!) But seriously I can't believe how quickly the last few weeks have flown by. To mark my return I've got a gorgeous pink for you today.
For a while now, each year OPI has been bringing out a new shade to support breast cancer awareness by donating profits to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Last year OPI brought out aPink Of Hearts 2011 which I've posted before. To view the campaign from last year click here. But today I'm going waaaaay back in time to 2009 to the Pink of Hearts polish that OPI released back then. I don't actually own this polish so here's a shout out to my sister for being kind enough to let me borrow hers :P Check it out:
OPI Pink Of Hearts 2009
A light bubblegum pink cream. The formula is lovely. Slightly streaky with one coat but this fixes itself with the second. I've done three here to get the best effect. I love the bottle cap with the pink ribbons on it and what it stands for. Overall a great colour for a great cause!
I know I've said this before but I think it's fantastic that OPI, as well as so many other big brands, are getting behind such a good cause to support the fight against breast cancer. I was planning on swatching this for you for Mother's Day a couple of weeks ago but as I said before, internet has been down so that made it quite difficult. I actually took part in the Mother's Day Classic for the second year running this Mother's Day which was a lot of fun! It was pouring with rain but very rewarding to be able to help raise money for such an important cause and I hear there was a record of 40,000 participants this year which is fantastic!! Anyway, I'm glad I got to post this finally and I hope you like it.
Hope everyone has a great start to the weekend! See you soon :)
