Back from the US: Minnie Mouse nail art

I am officially back from holidays and the blog is back in action. I really do apologise for not being able to post while I was away but I was moving around so much that it wasn't really possible to prepare any decent posts for you, let alone do a decent manicure! As much as I love travelling, it's great to be back and to be able to get back into a routine so I'm kicking things off with a mani that I did just before I left out of excitement for my visit to Disneyland.

As some may know, I am a HUGE Disney fan. So of course I had to try out this design when I saw it here. Here's a mini tutorial on how you can achieve this design:

First I painted red tips, using OPI Vodka and Caviar

To help shape the tips I used reinforcing rings

I then added small, white dots (slightly varied in size), using OPI Alpine Snow and a large-headed dotting tool:

Then, using a very fine nail art brush and OPI Black Onyx, I painted on a small black bow as a feature on my ring finger:

Once I got the hang of using the reinforcing rings this design was actually quite simple. I'm still in the process of unpacking/getting myself organised but expect many more posts to come!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
